Autobus della Memoria
“Palazzo Taurino - Medieval Jewish Lecce” museum marked the Holocaust Memorial Day with a series of events taking place during the week that includes 27 January, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp by Soviet troops. The week provided a focus for remembering the millions of people killed in the Holocaust and the history of the Jewish survivors who arrived in Southern Italy after WWII. On the 28th of January 2018 the event "Autobus della Memoria" took place: guided tours and transfers from the Jewish museum of Lecce to the "Museum of Memory and Hospitality" of Santa Maria al Bagno (Nardò).
