To celebrate the Holocaust Remembrance Day, we have chosen to bring back to light another historic event, older than WW2 and deeply bound to Salento. We would like to revive the Jewish life of the medieveal Jewish neighbourhood. Fabiola Malinconico has reinterpreted portraits of medieval Jews using a variety of techniques and materials to highlight the elements (faces, expressions) that she finds essential to characterise and represent the people who have left important yet fleeting traces in Salento culture.
